Repaired Burgmann Mechanical Seal For a Sprout Bower Refiner Model 54/58/-1CP SEAL Model H-03/240-E1 Our repair workscope for this Burgmann mechanical seal included cleaning all of the hard parts. The seal sleeve was replaced. Chrome oxide was added to the wear surfaces to extend seal life. The lip seal was upgraded to a hard wearing material. The step drive pin and anti-rotation pin were replaced with an improved design. Silicon carbide faces were lapped to one light band and as is our practice with every seal, the mechanical seal was tested before shipping to the mill.

Durametallic CDPS10-8.500 In the case of this Durametallic mechanical seal, we added hardened spray to the high wear surfaces of the seal sleeve. We replaced the tungsten carbide faces and lapped to one light band. We also installed newly designed assembly clips and tested the mechanical seal before shipping. The side view is the Repaired Durametallic Double Cartridge Seal for A Hymac Screw Impregnator, and you can see that Carbon Bushing has been inserted on the end of the Mechanical Seal.
