Mechanical seals are a precision industrial component that requires precision equipment and professional standards for a quality repair. With high laboratory standards, our service facility can handle all aspects of a professional repair.
Monochromatic Lighting Unit
Precision flatness is obtained using a cartrilamp reflex viewer and a quartz optical flat lense to 0.000002” millionths accuracy. Our standard flatness is measured to one light band.
Face-Sealing Mechanical Seals
Our Estrin oven is capable of heat shrinking seal faces up to 2300 degrees F.
Lapping Machines
Our facility has a 36-inch open face Lapmaster with slurry dispenser for heavy duty face lapping. We also have a 20-inch open face Lapmaster with Kemet disc and diamond slurry for polishing.
Mandrels
We have an array of mandrels to test component seals as well as the appropriate fittings to test standard cartridge seals. We test to 60 PSI and hold for two minutes.
Extensive Inventory
Safe-T Hydro maintains an extensive inventory of seals and seal parts and we remain on call 24 hours a day to provide emergency service to support our customers' most critical demands.
