We highly value the importance of mechanical seal testing, and take great care to dismantle our customers’ mechanical seals. The Safe-T Hydro Mechanical Seal Repair Facility has mandrels to test component seals, as well as the appropriate fittings to test standard cartridge seals. We test the mechanical seals to 60 PSI and hold for two minutes.

We measure the mechanical seals to .000002” millionths accuracy using a quartz optical flat lense. Our standard flatness for mechanical seals is measured to one light band, and precision flatness is obtained by using a cartrilamp reflex viewer.
